Booking & Cancellation
Upon confirmation we will send you an email with a confirmation letter and an Online Participants Form that needs to be filled out with your details — including dietary needs and allergies — as well as a Prep Pack for your chosen camp. This information is important so we can maximise your Green Camp experience.
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing 45 days or more before the start date of the camp to receive a 50% refund. If written notification is received less than 45 days before the start date there will be no refund.
If a camper is a “no show”, no refund is possible as expenses have already been incurred. If a camper has not arrived at Green Camp by midnight on day one, he/she will be considered a “no show”.
Unforeseen Circumstances: Cancellation notice must be given in writing as soon as possible and must include a medical certificate (unless otherwise agreed with the Camp Director).
No refund will be given for:
- Failure to attend camp for any reason
- Act of God
- Temporary absences
- Any withdrawal prior to or within the first two consecutive calendar days (except for illness or injury)
- Dismissal from camp
- Boycotting of camp by the camper
- Rebellion, riot, or civil commotion
- Destruction of any camp facility due to any cause
- Closures due to national or natural disasters beyond our control
Refund Policy: A transferable voucher of equal or lesser value valid for 1 year from your original camp start date (depending on availability). The voucher can be transferred to family or friends with at least one month’s notice. If we cancel a program, participants will receive a full refund.

Food & Stay
We serve buffet style with a diverse range of dishes — local and international — mostly plant-based with occasional chicken on the menu and nutritious locally sourced meals. We serve morning and afternoon snacks, and fresh fruits are available at all times.
We strongly recommend avoiding ordering food packaged in disposable single-use items in line with our sustainability values.
Yes, we provide linens and towels.
Yes, please bring your own toiletries.
Every accommodation has shared bathrooms (hot and cold water) and composted/wastewater garden flush toilets, as well as communal bathrooms for both boys and girls.
Yes, we have facilitators overnighting during camp.
Yes, we have a safe deposit box in each room. We suggest campers keep money, important documents, and valuables inside. Upon arrival our staff will remind you to store personal valuables in the safe deposit box.
Safety & Health
Our facilitators are experienced and passionate about what they do. We have permanent full-time facilitators from across Indonesia with diverse camp and outdoor adventure backgrounds. They hold:
- CPR & First Aid Level I & II (International SOS)
- Wildlife First Responder certification
- International Water Life Saving certification
- Mountaineering certification
Our Health & Safety Officer will be on-site and on-call during camp — they are registered nurses. Our emergency vehicle is on standby at camp at all times.
The nearest hospital is approximately 20 minutes from camp.
Green Camp has insurance for staff and campers on-site. Every program will involve some physical challenges and participants are encouraged to prepare adequately.
Campers are urged to check their own insurance coverage for adequacy when outside their home country. We encourage campers to purchase travel health insurance prior to their visit.
Programs & Policies
All our camps are run in English, so we require a basic understanding of English to participate.
No, transportation to and from camp is not included. However, we can arrange transportation at an additional fee depending on your location in Bali.
For School Group camps, pick-up and drop-off transportation is included in the package.
Once your camp is confirmed, we will send you a Prep Pack tailored to your chosen camp with useful information to help you prepare for Green Camp.
The 3-Day Family Camp is the perfect short eco-getaway. Kids should be a minimum of 4 years old for the most optimal experience.
The 5-Day Family Camp offers families a more in-depth and authentic experience. Five days allows time for jungle and rice paddy explorations, swimming in our spring-fed rock pools, and contributing to our community service and sustainable agriculture projects.
Maximum 14 families, approximately 50 participants in total (adults & children).
Our camp is not suitable for children under 4 years old, as it shifts the parents’ focus away from the programs. If you are coming with a sibling under 4 years of age, it is possible but a dedicated guardian must be assigned to look after that child at all times.
We strongly recommend all Family Campers stay overnight. Full immersion in nature and the experience of sustainable living is central to the camp’s purpose.
The minimum for a customised group is 15 people. We can accommodate up to 150 people (students and teachers) per school group.
Parents are allowed to call only in urgent matters. We strongly recommend visiting after camp ends. Creating an environment where kids are independent and enjoy their time here is an important part of our camp experience — it helps children develop personal care and personal responsibility skills while away from home.
No observation of Green School classes is allowed — it would be unfair to disrupt their learning. However, we have done collaborations with local school programs involving cultural exchange and environmental knowledge sharing. This can be arranged upon request.
